EVENT INFORMATION:Big big news!
The RS600s have been accepted to join in the 2024 Riva Cup, held at Fraglia Vela Riva, Lake Garda!
We need 15 boats for a class start, and with those on the Intend to Race list already, plus at least one more and 2 VIPs we are there already!
UPDATE 20th Feb 2024: the NoR has been published and entry is open!
Congratulations to David Nunn for winning the Dinghy Show champagne Draw - the bottle will be presented in Riva!
Sponsorship

Tues 28th May - fleet meeting at the famous Oca Bar,

Weds 29th May - a special informal RS600 Sponsors pre-race, which will be organised by our sponmsor Ian Jubb, meet at 1100 for a 1200 start (no safety provision and not part of the Riva Cup)
Thurs 30th May - Sat 1st June - racing in the Riva Cup, 1st warning signal 1300
Friday 31st May - Races - times at discretion of race committee
Saturday 1st June - Races. No warning signal after 1600

Transport and Travel

Sailboat Deliveries (our very own Ian Jubb) has come up with a great subsidised transport option which should keep costs down, based on 15-20 boats in one enormous load - boats can be left at his yard at Emsworth immediately after the 30th Anniversary Regatta at HISC, or at other dates around that time.
Transport cost to include boat, sails, foils etc (i.e. the complete boat), but not your personal kit bag is £550/boat. 50% deposit to be paid on booking, balance 2 months prior to departure.
That then gives you the option to fill a car and drive (with cheaper ferry as no trailer), or book a budget airline flight and then travel by train/ferry to the venue, or ask your mate to collect you from the airport! Detailed travel tips to follow, but if you can't wait, ask the 800 fleet!
Other sailors have suggested that the best ferry discounts are via the
camping and caravan club, discounts vary and you need to join to see them, we can share more insight later, but one sailor quotes "we got a motorhome for the price of a small car".

There is plenty of accommodation of all types within walking distance.

There are several campsite, Ian Jubb recommends Camping Brione for campervans, but perhaps one of the closer ones for tents.
