2023 promises to be a great year for the RS100s, with the Salcombe Gin Summer Regatta and the Nationals at Royal Torbay.
We’ve got the tried and trusted favourites that you’ve asked the committee for – RS Sprints at Rutland SC and POSH at Paignton SC, plus we’ll be supporting the growing fleet at Weir Wood with a 2-day Rooster National Tour event and returning to Chew Valley for the Rope4Boats Inlands, after such a successful weekend with the RS700s this year.
RS Sprints, Rutland, 22/23 April
The traditional season opener, short, sharp races to wake you up for the season ahead.
POSH, Paignton, 6/7 May
Paignton open for single handers, a long term favourite with the RS100s
Salcombe Gin RS Summer Regatta & Ball, Hayling Island, 24-25 June
A midsummer party with most of the other ‘Noughty’ fleets, but with well-run racing assured too. Partners very welcome.
Noble Marine Allen Nationals, Royal Torbay, 28 Sept – 1 Oct
The beauty of Royal Torbay, solely for the RS100s, meaning we’ll get pole position on the harbour wall, with no pesky RS200s to get in the way!
Rope4Boats Inlands, Chew Valley 11/12 Nov
Once again the Rooster National Tour concludes at Chew Valley with a fleet supper and the overall prize giving.
We look forward to welcoming RS100 sailors old and new, whether you be sailing a shiny new RS100 you’ve just taken delivery of, or an old faithful – there are plenty of sail numbers in the 100 numbers that do incredibly well, it’s good to see a mix of the oldest and newest boats in the results this year. The best way to improve your sailing is to come along for some class racing and some tips and advice from the top sailors.
All the dates are on the calendar here, here’s to 2023!
