Highcliffe Sailing Club was the final venue for the 2002 Fat Face Racing
Circuit. We were welcomed with a gentle S/E wind with a great backdrop of
the Isle of Wight.
Race 1 got under way with Brian Greensmith who led from the
windward mark, with Alex Southon in close pursuit. Southon took
Greensmith down the last reach to claim 1st, with Colin Turner 3rd and
Ian Montague 4th.
The wind was getting lighter in Race 2; Montague and Turner led
from the start, with Greensmith 3rd and John Hessig 4th.

and won while Turner and Greensmith were fighting for 2nd and 3rd Nick
Lowe coming back to get 4th.
Sunday was looking more promising -12-15 knots with big channel swell was
going to make some very interesting sailing.
Race 4 Greensmith and Montague port tacked the fleet, both of
them seem to be very nip-and tuck all the around the racecourse.
Greensmith won while Southon, Hessig, and Turner were battling it out for
3rd. Southon come through to take 3rd with Heissig very close behind in
4th.
Montague port tacked the whole fleet again in Race 5, and led
around the racetrack, winning with a impressive victory. While Greensmith
got another consistent 2nd, followed by turner3rd and Griff Turner 4th.
Final race 6. Greensmith and Montague were going to be battling
it out for 1st overall. Greensmith won after a very tight race with
Southon.
