15 RS 600's turned up at Paignton SC on Saturday the 21st of June. Race one was started in sunny weather and a promising force 3, which unfortunately died off to a force 2 after the first lap leaving the fleet under powered in the swell. Matt Humphreys pulled out an impressive lead leaving Paul Procter and Matt Chapman battling to decide second and third with Andy Heissig taking forth from Paul Smalley. The second race was led at the windward mark by Andy Heissig closely followed by Paul Smalley and Matt Humphreys. Humphreys took Smalley on the reach but could not out do Heissig for boat-speed, Heissig held the lead until the bottom of the last run where a gybing contest enabled Humphreys to pass and win by 5 boat-lengths from Heissig. In the third race Matt Humphreys again led from the first mark and built a solid lead to win, Nick Lowe was looking good in second until an incident with an RS700 at the leeward mark caused him to drop 2 places. Matt Chapman got the better of Paul Procter to take second despite also having a tangle with a 700. Matthew Lingley threatened early on but was pushed down to sixth as Nick Lowe and Griff Tanner came up to take forth and fifth. Sunday dawned with little wind and the rumble of thunder. The wind never really picked up apart from one brief spell in which the fleet launched, but no race was held as the wind decided to do a complete 180 degree swing and die again before a course could be laid despite the valiant attempts of the race officer. 1st Matt Humphreys 3pts, 2nd Paul Proctor 8pts, 3rd Matt Chapman 9pts.
