The RS600 fleet was greeted by a fresh breeze at Brixham YC for the RS FatFace Racing Circuit event. The first race began in a force 2-3 with Jamie Mawson taking a port tack flier off the line, however it was Matt Humphreys that held the lead at the windward mark. Mawson closed down the run but Humphreys held him off and stretched out on the second lap to win by a healthy margin. Mawson finished second with Ali Wyatt coming through into third. The second race saw Humphreys leading off the line and steadily increasing that lead throughout the race. After some place swapping between the chasing pack the top three were the same as in the previous race. Race three saw the best breeze of the day with all able to flat wire up the beats and down most of the reaches. Humphreys reached the windward mark first followed by Adrian White and Mawson. Humphreys moved clear to win and Mawson passed White on the last lap to finish second. Sunday dawned to no wind and the postponement flag, this however, was short lived as the fleet was instructed to flap its way out to the start line where there was �allegedly� some wind. The race was started in a very light breeze with all competitors perched on their foredecks perspiring in the heat. Humphreys got the best of the start and held the lead comfortably to the finish with Mawson second and White third in a very processional race. Race five started in slightly more breeze allowing the occasional use of the trapeze. Humphreys once again led from start to finish with Mawson fighting through to second and Wyatt third. The final race of the event ran much to the form of the previous with Humphreys taking the lead off of the line. The main difference being that this time he was caught napping by Mawson who passed him to win, this ended Humphreys� unbeaten run of 14 race wins on the trot. Humphreys finished second with Fred Lord taking a well sailed third.
